Arrival & Departure
Arrival is from 16:00 to 19:00. Please be aware at the beginning of our season and from September onward it normally gets dark by about tea time, and our glamping site is unlit to preserve the clear night sky, so please bear this in mind when planning your arrival.
Early check in and a late check out may be available as an extra, please check availability with us if you would like to add this to your booking.
Please notify us of your arrival time at least one week before the start of your stay. Whilst we understand that delays whilst travelling can occur it would be really helpful if you could update us on your new expected time of arrival as soon as you can.
Departure is by 10:00. If you wish for us to collect your luggage please make sure it is at the luggage point by 09:45.
Dog Policy
When booking a stay with your dogs please be aware only our Kingfisher Safari Lodge accepts up to 2 dogs at a cost of £25 per dog, per stay.
Included in the cost for each dog is a bed, wipe down towel, poo bags, water and feed bowls and a strong tethering point so you can attach your own long lead.
Please do not allow your dog/s up onto the furniture and under no circumstances are they allowed onto the beds. Dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, even when exercising around any part of the site, and they must not be allowed to worry any wildlife, livestock or chickens, either of which can die from the stress, nor must they be allowed to intrude on other guests as not everyone likes dogs!
At no time must your dog/s be left unattended on site and you must always clear up your dogs waste regardless of where on the site it has been deposited! Failure to comply with these terms may force us to ask you to terminate your stay and no refund will be given. Your booking is your acceptance of these conditions.
Litter Policy
Please help us keep Hidden Meadows safe, clean and pleasant for wildlife and humans by putting all of your rubbish in the bins provided, and not dropping it on the ground or in any water ways. This includes all areas of our site and the car park.
Smoking & Fire Policy
Smoking is permitted outside around the camp fire only and nowhere else on site including the tents and bathrooms. Spent smoking items should be placed in the covered ash trays and, when full, emptied into the landfill bin. Please do not drop smoking items anywhere else on site as this is a hazard to wildlife and may spark wild fires. Please act responsibly when dealing with fire and naked flames and only responsible adults should deal with fires and naked flames. Ensure when you have finished with your camp fire that you you put it out completely and dampen down with water to prevent sparks. For safety reasons camp fires are only permitted at the designated area and absolutely nowhere else under any circumstances.
Due to the high risk of fire candles, oil lamps, naked flames and gas appliances are not permitted inside the tent or bathroom. We do allow tealights provided, they are placed in fire proof holders.
Please do not remove any wood that you may find around the site as these have been left to create beetle banks and habitat for wildlife.
Prohibited Items
Please do not bring any of the following: guns, archery items, fireworks, axes, saws, wood, metal detectors, drones, leisure/car batteries. We also do not accept the bringing or use of sky lanterns.
